Temple’s Peculiarity:
This age old temple is an important icon of Pondicherry and is praised as it is closely associated with one among the 108 Divya Desams at Thiruvahindrapuram. Lord Vishnu is the presiding deity gracing his devotees in a standing posture.
Festivals:
Brahmothsavam,Ramar festival, Vaikunta Ekadasi, all Saturdays of Purattasi, Garuda Sevai are noteworthy in this temple. But the temple is thronged with devotees all-round the year.
Special Offerings:
Devotees offer Thulasi garland, Ghee, sandal paste, clothes, sweet puddings, and Thirumanjanam to the Lord for prosperous and problem free life. People also donate food and clothes to the poor people around this temple.

This temple is kept opened from 6 am to 12 am then from 4 pm to 9 pm.
Uniqueness:
There is a mirror in this temple which amazes everyone, and there are the effigies of all 108 Vishnus. This is the only temple in South India that has all the 108 forms of Lord Vishnu found in all the Divya desams. Another specialty of this temple is that, new born babies are brought here and are given the first rice called Annapraasanam in front of Lord Vishnu, in the belief that the baby will be taken care by Lord Vishnu and will lead a healthy life.
