Tirupur City Tourist Places
Tirupur is noted for its textile industries. About 90% of the cotton garments are exported from here to other parts. It is also a commercial hub and an apt place for shopaholics. There are some famous temples too, that are worth visiting. Nearby hill stations are Mettupalayam and Podanur with lots of eye smoothening greeneries.

Tirupur Kumaran Memorial Statue : This memorial was erected in order to pay tribute to the young freedom fighter Kumaran who daringly stood against the British rule and sacrificed his soul for the Indian Nation.
Noyyal River : Noyyal River sprawls across an area of 34000sq km. This is a small rivulet from the Vellingiri hills and coalesces into the great river Cauvery.
Avinashiappar Temple : This magnificent temple is located in Avinashi village near the city and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple is a product of creativity by the Cholan architects.
Thirumoorthy Hills, Uthukuli Murugan Temple, Sugrieeshwar Temple, Mettupari and Amaravathi dam are some other places to visit.
