Located at 92 km from vizag, Borra caves are a prominent attraction in Andhra Pradesh. This cave is 100 meters wide and 75 meters high. Sprawling across an area of one square KM, these caves serves as the best spot for weekend getaway. These caves are the origin of River Gosthani.

Borra caves entrance :

The entrance of the Borra caves are mind blowing to watch. There are naturally formed caves due to the perennial water flow over millions of years. These caves rank top among the largest caves in India. They are basically karstic limestone structures extending to a depth of 80 m. The Dandakaranya – Bolangir – Kibur train track passes over the caves.

Attractions of Bora caves :

The interior parts of Borra caves are inhabited by the tribals of Jatapu, Porja, Kondadora, Nookadora etc. Indian Anthropologists have also found stone tools of middle Paleolithic Age which dates to 30000 to 50000 years and signifies the human habitation in the caves any thousand years ago.

There is no accommodation available close to Borra caves, nearest point is Tyda Jungle bells. But there are plenty of hotels available at Araku 36 KM and at Vizag 92 KM .
