Alappuzha Beach
Alappuzha beach is also known as Alleppey Beach which is located in Alleppey district in Kerala . It lies in between Arabian sea and Punnamada backwaters. It is popularly known as “ Venice of the East “ and “ Backwater country” which is blessed with nature’s green beauties such as Lagoons , vast lakes and numerous fresh water rivers.
The Alappuzha beach is spectacular with long sandy beach. It is a popular tourist spot known to provide relaxation .At one end are the dense palm groves that are so characteristic of Kerala’s landscape. This beach is very crowd during Saturdays and Sundays with a lot of domestic tourists. For the entertainment of Kids there is a Vijaya Beach Park and also an old lighthouse nearby. There are few camels standing for the visitors to offer a sand ride. Alappuzha Beach has grown in importance as a Backwater Tourist Centre, attracting several thousands of foreign tourists each year. The most beautiful scene of the Alleppey beach is its sands and turquoise blue water of the Arabian sea touching the feet of the tourist.
